A new chapter: balancing filmmaking, parenthood, and creativity.

Life Updates: Projects, Parenthood, and Hitting Pause

It’s been a while since my last update, and for good reason. The past few months have been a whirlwind of late-night edits, early-morning shoots, moving into my new place, and—most importantly—the arrival of my newborn baby. Life has been a beautiful chaos, and I’ve been learning to balance the joys of parenthood with the ever-demanding world of freelance filmmaking.

Where Have I Been?

Between collaborating on an artwork with my sister, diving into more motion graphic and editing work, and tackling client projects, my schedule has been packed. But amidst the deadlines and creative challenges, my wife and I welcomed our little one into the world. Now, my editing timeline includes diaper changes, midnight lullabies, and stolen moments of sleep.

The Balancing Act

Freelancing already requires a delicate juggling act, but adding parenthood into the mix? That’s a whole new level of time management. I’ve had to rethink my workflow—editing in shorter bursts, mastering the art of power naps, and finding inspiration in the quiet (or not-so-quiet) moments of early parenthood. It’s been a crash course in patience, prioritisation, and embracing the unexpected.

What’s Next?

Though I’ve taken a step back from posting, I’ve been gathering plenty of insights, stories, and ideas to share. Expect behind-the-scenes breakdowns of recent projects, reflections on balancing creative work with family life, and deep dives into filmmaking trends.

I’m also eager to explore new tools and techniques, from AI-driven editing to the possibilities of VR in post-production (spoiler: a review is coming soon). The industry is constantly evolving, and so am I.

Stay Tuned

To my readers, clients, and fellow creatives—thank you for your patience and support during this new chapter of my life. Your encouragement means the world, and I can’t wait to reconnect through my work and writing.

There’s so much more ahead—project insights, tech experiments, and maybe even a few parenting-as-a-filmmaker stories. So stick around, subscribe for updates, and let’s keep pushing creative boundaries together.
